wholesome and imaginative meals capture the essence of what is fresh and in season.
Sandwiches served on delicious homemade bread and crisp salads are also available
throughout the day. Fresh herbs and creative cuisine have made dining at Kariwak a
Tobago tradition where vegetarian and healthy child friendly choices are always available.
Breakfast
Your choice of fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and granola served with freshly
squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee, Kariwak herb tea or Tobago hot cocoa. Followed
by a main meal of eggs in your favourite style served with homemade whole wheat
bread or on special occasions, more traditional Tobago fare like crispy flying fish
with tartar sauce and fresh coconut bake (unleavened bread).
Lunch
A traditional Tobago lunch of beef stewed in coconut milk may be served on a bed of
pigeon peas and rice with mixed vegetables or you may simply choose to indulge in
Kariwak’s legendary grilled shrimp and salad or a hearty Greek salad with Tobago
feta. The sandwiches are also not to be missed, favourites include the Jazzy Grilled
Cheese, toasted to crispy golden brown perfection on our homemade whole wheat
bread with tomatoes, green peppers, onion rings and our original Kariwak pepper
sauce.
Dinner
End the day with a perfect bowl of Kariwak Pumpkin Soup with Fresh Dill followed
by Tomato Salad with a Fresh Basil Dressing. The main course varies from Blackened
Fish to Honey Baked Chicken to exquisite Grilled Mushrooms with Herbs for the
vegetarians accompanied by Basmati Rice, Stuffed Christophene and Sauteed
Patchoi. All this leaves just enough room for Kariwak’s famous homemade icecream in
an array of familiar and exotic flavours… fresh coconut, soursop, frozen lime yogurt,
vanilla icecream with mango passion fruit sauce and of course, chocolate.
