GARDENS

Winner of the Prime Minister’s Award for best gardens, two years running, Kariwak’s gardens are a nature lovers dream. There is also a sizeable kitchen garden where we grow all our own herbs that are such an essential part of Kariwak cuisine and the smells of fresh cut rosemary and thyme often permeate the morning air.

Spend an afternoon going through our garden guide in which each of the over 100 varieties of flowering and non-flowering tropical plants are listed. This tremendous diversity also attracts an unusual variety of wildlife for this area, over 20 species of birds, many species of butterflies and lizards and on a rainy day entire families of giant snails can be found cruising along the footpaths.
